Imagery for these (one lithograph print and two mixed-media drawings) came from documentation of an injury I suffered in December 2021.
The barrier of skin is meant to protect us: the thin layer separating internal from external. When what was once inside becomes exposed, a boundary is transgressed.
This series is modeled on that world of flesh and blood that spills forth through injury, outburst, and exploration.
